The Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) serves as our direct advocate in Harrisburg and is the state-level affiliate of the NEA. PSEA's primary mission is to lobby the state legislature and influence the Pennsylvania Department of Education on our behalf, focusing on critical issues such as fair school funding, educational policy, and the protection of our Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) benefits. Crucially for our local union, PSEA provides essential hands-on support, including expert legal counsel, dedicated UniServ Representatives for bargaining, and professional development resources tailored to Pennsylvania's standards, empowering us to enforce our contract and secure the best possible professional environment for our members. 

The National Education Association (NEA) is the nation's largest professional employee organization, representing millions of educators, support professionals, and allies dedicated to advancing the cause of public education. As our national affiliate, the NEA provides a powerful, unified voice on federal policy, advocating for the resources, respect, and rights essential for student success and professional excellence. Through its three-tier structure of local, state, and national representation, our local association gains access to invaluable legal support, professional development opportunities, and the collective strength needed to negotiate fair contracts and champion the policies that benefit our schools and community.
